A Home you arrange
13 tiles to pick from, like screen time, quick glances, first unlock, and Post Box. Place them on a grid and give any tile one of 15 shapes.
The apps are engineered to keep you scrolling.
Your screen time, unlocks, notifications, and how far you scrolled, in real meters. Limits that hold, nudges that know when you're stuck, and Rollo to ask about any of it. It doesn't shame you or lecture you. You decide what changes.
You've stayed well under this limit all week.
Scroll Calibration
Every phone packs its pixels differently. Line a bank card's short side up with a box on screen once, and Scroll Less turns every swipe into real distance. An hour on a feed is hard to picture. A walk across three football pitches isn't.
You, on this page, so far
Keep going. The app measures this for every app on your phone.
Inside the app
Drawn from the app's own layouts, with sample data.
Most of it went to Instagram. Your evenings averaged 1h 50m this week, and Instagram took 58m of that.
Features
13 tiles to pick from, like screen time, quick glances, first unlock, and Post Box. Place them on a grid and give any tile one of 15 shapes.
Every unlock, counted the way Android counts it. Quick glances, where you lit the screen and opened nothing, get their own count.
Meters scrolled in every app, calibrated to your own screen.
How many, from which apps, and which ones you opened. The breakdown sorts them by category and finds your busiest hour.
One app, all its numbers: time, opens, scroll distance, notifications, and its limit.
Hide the apps you don't care about, and they drop out of your stats.
Routines, focus, timing, notifications, and how your apps pull on each other. Night Owl, Rise and Shine, Digital Rush Hour, Ghost Pings, Weekend vs Weekday, and more.
Your week at a glance, with your peak day, your calmest day, and how it compares to last week. Tap a day to walk through it session by session.
A daily cap for one app, or one shared cap for a group like all your social apps. A heads up comes at 10 and 2 minutes left.
Need more time? Up to five extensions a day, each one shorter than the last: 15, 10, 7, 5, then 3 minutes.
Pausing a limit takes two quick puzzle rounds. Deleting one takes three and a hold. 38 puzzles across memory, attention, numbers, and more.
A small reminder of how long you've been in an app, every 20 minutes by default. Set it anywhere from 5 to 60.
Caught in the moment: a bounce between two apps, 40 minutes deep in one feed, or straight back to an app you closed.
Holds notifications from the apps you pick and delivers them together, up to five times a day.
Say scroll low out loud. Get it? Rollo reads what Scroll Less measured on your phone and answers your questions about it, with charts when a number needs one.
He leaves a goal in your feed each morning, checks in each evening, and writes a weekly review. Rollo runs on your own Gemini key, so the AI is yours to choose and turn off.

My story
Stop blaming yourself for your screen time. You never stood a chance against tech companies spending millions to manipulate your behavior.
Most screen time apps dump basic usage numbers on you, which does nothing to help you spot your subconscious triggers.
Scroll Less digs into your blind spots, and Rollo turns what it finds into patterns you can actually break.
I built this so people like us can understand our own minds, instead of being the ones getting manipulated.
Scroll less, live more!
Social media isn't a tool that's just waiting to be used. It has its own goals, and it has its own means of pursuing them by using your psychology against you.Book by Nir EyalHooked

Time management is pain management. Distractions cost us time, and like all actions, they are spurred by the desire to escape discomfort.
Our journey
Every release, told the way it happened.
Rollo grows from a chatbot that reads and answers into an agent that acts for you. I'm training models built to help you reach your screen time goals, with voice to text and Google Drive backup too.
Chip wasn't the right fit, so I created Rollo (sc-roll-o). He reads your data and answers your questions. Your feed now brings a goal every day, weekly and monthly reviews on your progress, plus new badges and skins.
Built for Android 16, with fixes for backup export and import, apps with oversized icons, and overnight usage that crossed midnight.
Scroll Less went live on Apr 10, 2026, after 14 days of closed testing. Improvements throughout the app, bug fixes, and a better experience. And I added Chip to be your guide.
